LIFE

So we were just down in AZ looking for internship opportunities for Chris and we came across a wonderful job offer. We would move down to AZ in the winter and Chris would work and transfer to ASU and the company will pay for his schooling!! We are still debating on what to do but I'm pretty sure we will be living in AZ in a few months!!! No more Rexburg winters!!! I think that I am the most excited about that!

Lillian Catherine Yurko

Our beautiful baby girl is here! I have been wanting to post but having a newborn keeps you pretty busy. Our little angel was born May 5, 2011 at 6:30 pm. Lillian is now 4 months old and it feels like it was just yesterday that I held her for the first time. It amazes me how fast she is growing and learning. Her first smile was at 2 weeks and her first laugh was at 2 1/2 months. She first rolled over at 3 months and at 3 1/2 months she started playing with toys. She loves to eat her hands and suck on her fingers. In the morning she wakes us up by cooing and talking. She is good about taking her naps and sleeping at night. We are staring her rice cereal, its still hard for her to swallow, she just has the sucking reflex so the food we give her ends up all over her  : )it has been an adventure having Lillian here and I can't wait to see what else is in store! Mommy and Daddy love you!

The last month

Less than 4 weeks until D-Day and they are passing by slower than ever before! I honestly think my belly has doubled its size in the last week, but thankfully no stretch marks...yet knock on wood. I have been trying to keep myself busy by doing crazy house cleaning and trying new recipes. I don't know how many times I have rearranged Lily's room and refolded her clothes. I'm so excited for her to come! I have dreams about what she is going to look like and what her laugh is going to sound like! She is already so loved and there are tons of people waiting to meet her and give her kisses!! Not to mention when she does come I get to have  normal body again. Not that it will happen over night but I'm excited to lay however I wants, not have swollen feet and hands, not have to pee every hour and be free from Lily kicking and rearranging my insides!! being pregnant has honestly been one of the hardest things I have had to go through, and I haven't had to give birth yet... that will be another story!

Life is Unpreictable

So yesterday was just one of those days. Things happen and you think "seriously why did this have to happen now". And then like 2 hours later all you can do is laugh at what's going on and when you wake up the next morning and realize that it wasn't a dream you have to face reality, and you laugh again. But if life didn't throw us unpredictable events then we wouldn't have the opportunities to grow and appreciate the times when everything is "going to plan". It gives us the chance to make decisions that we thought we would never have to make, it gives us the chance to see who we really are and it tests our faith to make sure we are where we need to be. I am grateful that I still have my family and friends and most of all I'm grateful I have an amazing husband who takes charge makes things better. Today is a new day and who knows what will happen... all I can say is BRING IT ON!!!

Exciting Sunday Adventure

So I thought today would just be another regular Sunday... wrong! After church I made and brought lunch to Chris (it was his Sunday to work).Once I got there Chris told me that our friend Darron had gotten himself stuck in a snow drift up on the hill. So there started my adventure. I found myself wondering around Walmart trying to find the rope/towing cable that Chris had described to me. Finally I had the Walmart worker point me in the right direction and I found what I was looking for. So I head off to find where Darron is stuck, at the top of snob hill where the wind blows a million miles an hour and there are crazy snow drifts in the middle of the road. I find Darron and his friend waiting for me but they are facing the other direction so I decide to turn the truck around and I get stuck in a ditch!!! Somehow we got our truck unstuck and we had to drive around to get behind Darron's car. After a few tugs we got his car out of the snow. Now it's time to relax!

A much needed update

So basically I started this blog over a year ago and I totally forgot about it. So I'm thinking a major update is needed. I guess the biggest news is that Chris and I are expecting!! We are going to have a little girl and we are  naming her Lillian Catherine Yurko. She is due the first week of May, but I'm thinking that she can come any day now :) We have almost finished decorating her room. We have painted the walls, assembled all of her furniture/accessories, washed and folded all her clothes. The only thing we need to do is install the car seat, but Chris needs to clean the car first :)

We are still living in Idaho so Chris can finish school, which is going to be for the next 2 1/5 years. This is something that I'm not too happy about but at least we will end up in AZ when he's finished :)  Chris is still heavily involved with the basketball program here at school and he has expanded to the high school kids and is training them on the days he doesn't have work.

I am working as well but I am looking forward to my time off as a new mom. As far as the pregnancy goes, it has definitely been a roller coaster of health and emotions. My first 2 trimesters were the worst months of my life! But thankfully that part is over and now I'm learning to deal with the huge belly, restless nights of heartburn and Lily scrambling my insides. At least I know that all the moving around means she is a healthy baby and that's all Chris and I want.
